MTA MEMBERS
Since 1955, the Montana Telephone Association has represented the interests of independent telephone companies of Montana and has provided a variety of other services to its members.

General Members - General Membership in the Montana Telecommunications Association (MTA) shall be limited to incumbent local exchange carriers which provide local exchange telecommunications services to consumers within the state of Montana. No company, firm, corporation or cooperative, through its subsidaries or other affiliated operations owned or controlled, directly or indirectly, by such company, firm, corporation or cooperative shall be entitled to more than one seat on the Board of Directors representing that company and all of its affiliates collectively. Associate Members - Businesses & individuals who are not eligible to be General Members of the Association, but whose interest in the affairs of the Association, and its members, are such as to make them desirable members of the Association may become Associate Members. As an Associate Member of MTA, you're entitled to participate as an Exhibitor at our Annual Showcase in Billings, which attracts over 99 vendors and suppliers, and over 200 telecommunications company personnel from Montana and surrounding states. The MTA Showcase consistently ranks among the best telecom trade shows in the nation. In addition to participation in our Annual Showcase, membership in MTA affords you opportunities to attend other MTA functions; participate in networking and hospitality opportunities; receive notice of activities and other pertinent information of interest; and sponsor special events. Further, all MTA members are listed in our Annual MTA Directory, which is widely circulated among government and private interests throughout Montana. Additional Associate Membership benefits include a listing on MTA's Website where you will be able to link your company's home page to MTA's website. Membership benefits also include a subscription to MTA's newsletter, The Connection and advertising opportunities. Friends of the Association - Distinct from the Assoicate Member category, this category of membership shall be open to hotels, restaurants, office supply, rental car and other non-telecommunications related vendors interested in participating in the Association's activities. Membership in MTA affords you opportunities to attend other MTA functions; participate in networking and hospitality opportunities; receive notice of activities and other pertinent information of interest; and sponsor special events. Further, all MTA members are listed in our Annual MTA Directory, which is widely circulated among government and private interests throughout Montana. Refusal of Membership - The Association is a voluntary Association, membership in which shall at all times be considered a privilege, not a right. The Board of Directors shall have the right to refuse membership to any person, firm, or corporation whose membership the Board, in its sole discretion, shall determine to be not in the best interests of the Association.
